The company was created by Henrik Gustavsson, who had always carried a strong passion for motocross, racing, and graphics. During his years as a rider, his interest in design, durability, and materials grew — eventually leading him to create his own decal concepts.
From the very beginning, HG Design stood for quality, precision, and a design style inspired by the demands of motocross.
During 2002–2003, the company grew quickly. The major breakthrough came when Henrik signed his first sponsorship agreement with KTM Red Bull Factory Team in Austria.
In connection with this, HG Stickers was launched in 2004 — a dedicated brand for top-class decals, produced with special materials made to endure tough use and professional-level riding.
Even though the products were branded HG Stickers, many continued to say HG Design, as the company name remained the stronger identity.
Between 2004 and 2011, HG Design / HG Stickers became a well-known name in the world of motocross.
During these years, the company delivered decals to KTM’s factory world championship team, resulting in:
26 world championship titles.
The unique material and durable construction quickly earned HG Stickers the reputation of being the original — decals capable of withstanding racing at the highest level.
2015–2017 – Expansion to the USA and KTM Factory Racing
After success in Europe, the next step followed. Between 2015 and 2017, HG Design partnered with KTM Red Bull Factory Team in the USA.
During this period, superstar Ryan Dungey, multiple AMA Supercross and Motocross champion, raced with decals produced by HG Stickers.
In 2018, a major milestone was reached:
HG Design / HG Stickers surpassed 60 world championship titles in total.
It was clear proof of many years of work with the world’s best riders and teams.
Reaching 60 titles made HG Stickers one of the most successful decal manufacturers in modern motocross.
In 2019, the year after this milestone, the HG Stickers brand was sold.
Founder Henrik Gustavsson chose to sell for personal reasons.
Despite the sale, the heritage and knowledge behind the original brand continue to live on through HG Design — the place where everything began.
HG Design remains the creative core and the original force behind HG Stickers — the place where ideas were formed and where an iconic expression was born.
It is more than a name; it is an identity built on over 20 years of experience, innovation, and passion for the sport.
Even after HG Stickers moved into new hands, HG Design continues to preserve its origin. Here you still find the craftsmanship, knowledge, and design language that set the standard for premium motocross decals.
Now, HG is launching a new website — a modern platform showcasing its history, vision, and future with a clearer and more exclusive presentation.
It marks the beginning of a new chapter, where tradition meets new ideas and where the legacy of HG Design continues to evolve.
HG Design stands firmly rooted in its history, yet looks forward.
Towards new expressions. New projects. New possibilities.
On December 1, 2025, a new chapter begins as Anthon Lövbom, son of founder Henrik Gustavsson, takes over HG Design.
Born in 2005, Anthon grew up inside HG’s world — in the workshop, at the races, among prototypes, and in the international environment surrounding the brand.
He has followed the journey up close and has been a natural part of it since the beginning.
Today, he is a driven and determined person with a clear vision:
To carry the legacy of HG Design into the future and continue winning world championships alongside the world’s best riders and teams.
With the same passion as his father — but with new energy and fresh ideas — he is ready to write the next chapter in HG Design’s story.
Even though the brand was sold in 2019, the legacy remains clear:
Under Anthon’s leadership, HG Design continues to build on the same principles it always has:
